What's included?

Typically, standard pre-employment medical examinations will check your overall wellbeing including:

How it works
Pre-employment medicals are typically quite simple to complete and can often take place with one visit for most standard medicals. If your employer or industry body requires additional testing such as blood work or drug screening, you may require a follow-up appointment to discuss the test results and complete any required medical forms. Patients can expect the following process:
1. Read & Print Forms
Print any forms your employer has given you, and read through any specified pre-assessment guidelines for your medical test.
2. Arrive Early
Arrive 10-15 minutes early and check in with reception. This gives us time to confirm your paperwork before your appointment.
3. Assessment
Your doctor will then review your medical history and complete the assessment, based on your employer's requirements.
Option: Further Tests
If further testing is needed, such as blood tests or specialist review, your doctor will discuss this with you and schedule your appointments.
4. Review Results
Your doctor will then review your results and provide any general health advice, based on your assessment results.
5. Certificate
Your doctor will then completes your employer's form, ready for you to take with you. Alternatively, we can also send directly to your employer.
Fees & Medicare Rebates
Standard pre-employment medical assessments cost $180 (inc. GST) with additional options such as audiology and drug testing available for an additional fee. All pre-employment medical assessments are privately billed and do not receive Medicare rebates.
