Request Repeat Scripts and Repeat Referrals

Existing patients of NSMC are welcome to request a repeat referral or repeat script. A fee will apply for this service. If you are unsure if you qualify, please contact the practice on 07 3521 4333

Request a Repeat Script

Our clinic provides a Repeat Script service for existing patients.
This service is limited to repeat prescriptions, and patients must have received the prescription from their doctor previously.
Multiple medications can be requested in one submission, except for addictive medications such as benzodiazepines and opiates, which are not covered.
Each prescription request undergoes assessment by the patient's regular doctor at the clinic on clinical grounds. If the request is declined, patients are advised to schedule an appointment.
A fee is charged for each request, varying based on urgency and delivery method, with all applicable fees specified upon request submission.
The fee is payable upon submission, and if declined, an automatic refund is issued within several business days.
Processing times for repeat prescription requests may take several business days, with urgent requests expedited based on the specified processing time, subject to the regular doctor's availability.
Mail delivery may take several business days, and for quicker access, patients are advised to collect prescriptions directly from the clinic if applicable.

Request a Repeat Referral

Our referral service is available for existing patients. 
We offer repeat referrals to requiring patients who have previously seen a specialist for the specific referral. Each referral request is carefully assessed by your doctor at the clinic, who will approve or decline the request based on clinical grounds. If the request is declined, you will be advised to schedule an appointment. It's essential to keep in mind that your GP may be unable to provide a repeat referral if they haven't seen you recently.
A fee is associated with each referral request, and this fee may vary based on urgency and delivery method. All applicable fees will be clearly specified when completing the request, and the payment is required upon submission. If your request is declined, an automatic refund will be processed within several business days.

Processing times for repeat referral requests may take several business days, with urgent requests completed by the specified processing time, subject to your regular doctor's availability on the day of receiving the request and approving it on clinical grounds. For delivery via mail, it may take several days to be delivered. If you need your referral earlier, it is recommended to collect it directly from the clinic, where applicable.
