Fees & Medicare Rebates

The cost of comprehensive driving medicals at Narangba Station Medical Centre are as follows:

  • Uber Driver Medicals - $160 + GST
  • Commercial Driving Medicals - $180 + GST
  • Over 75 Drivers Medical - $160 + GST

Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover the cost of fitness to drive medical examinations. These assessments are considered administrative and are not covered by Medicare benefits. It's best to check with your doctor or local health provider for any associated costs and potential coverage options.

For commercial medical assessments, we will provide you with a tax invoice to provide your tax accountant. We also find that some of our patients are able to claim commercial drivers expenses back from the company they are working with.

Prior Injuries & Conditions

Conditions that can affect your ability to drive safely include:

  • Alcohol or drug dependency

You are required by law to inform the Queensland Department of Transport of any long-term injury, illness, or medical condition which may affect your ability to drive safely. If you’re involved in a crash and it’s found that your health condition was a contributing factor, you may be prosecuted and your insurance may not be valid.
