Fitness To Drive Medical Assessments
At Narangba Station Medical Centre there are 3 primary types of medical assessments we complete for Queensland for drivers. Our experienced medical professionals conduct these assessments with utmost care and precision; working closely with patients to complete the necessary documentation and ensuring all health requirements set by the Queensland Department of Transport are met.

Uber Driver Medicals
Our Uber driving medical assessments are designed to meet the stringent requirements set by Uber whilst remaining easy and convenient for you. Get a detailed examination to ensure you are fit to drive for the platform.
75+ Drivers Medicals

Commercial Drivers
Commercial driving medicals are essential for anyone who holds a commercial driving licence. If you’re a train, bus, truck or taxi driver, our assessments ensure that you meet the health standards necessary to operate commercial vehicles safely.
Fees & Medicare Rebates
The cost of comprehensive driving medicals at Narangba Station Medical Centre are as follows:
- Uber Driver Medicals - $160 + GST
- Commercial Driving Medicals - $180 + GST
- Over 75 Drivers Medical - $160 + GST
Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover the cost of fitness to drive medical examinations. These assessments are considered administrative and are not covered by Medicare benefits. It's best to check with your doctor or local health provider for any associated costs and potential coverage options.
For commercial medical assessments, we will provide you with a tax invoice to provide your tax accountant. We also find that some of our patients are able to claim commercial drivers expenses back from the company they are working with.

You are required by law to inform the Queensland Department of Transport of any long-term injury, illness, or medical condition which may affect your ability to drive safely. If you’re involved in a crash and it’s found that your health condition was a contributing factor, you may be prosecuted and your insurance may not be valid.

Bookings are available from as early as 7AM on weekdays and Saturday. We are also open Sunday afternoon and late evening on Tuesday and Thursday until 8:30PM.Â
